Early is a skinny, young Rottie with lots of lovin' and lots of energy. Early Grace has some very bothersome bad habits, which I've been told are nothing new for his breed. He is stubborn, strong, and ignorant. He rarely comes when he's called, I have to act happy and pretend to run away to get his attention. He pulls hard when I walk him, even though I bought him a pinch collar, and I yank on it!! but he pulls anyway. He is very dominant, not VIOLENT, but he humps anything that moves. He chews on stuff, and just when I think he's been so good lately he eats a shoe to remind me what planet I live on. I don't know what to do here, I love my dogs so much! Early's such a sweetheart, he thinks he's a lap dog, he likes hugs and cuddling, sitting on the couch, playing rough with other dogs, rolling in snow and sand...and he loves me so much, I saved his life! His companion Dojha is a female, Malamute/Border Collie mix, she is two years younger than Early. He doesn't hump her because she defends herself, anyone who stands up to him aggressively gets treated with respect and he will eventually play with normally. I am seeking advice from anyone and everyone for tips on how to improve my dog!! I don't want to get rid of him, and I think he has so much potential to be a really good dog, but I don't know how!!
